It's been a long time coming and well overdue but finally the uber-classic Jerry's Roof in the Llanberis Pass has had a female ascent (if anyone knows different we'd like to hear). The in-form 'Powerful Mina' made the V9/7C problem look straight-forward as she glided through the steepness on her successful attempt this afternoon.
It took Sheffield based Mina Leslie-Wujastyk four or five sessions to get it dialled. She found the hardest part was controlling the body swing once she'd made what for her was a dynamic snatch for the pocket. Being short definitely makes this move harder. This success follows on from her second female ascent of Rock Atrocity V9/7C (UKC) at Parisella's and Bus Stop V9/7C on the Jerry's Roof Boulder a few weeks ago. Mina commented that she found Jerry's slightly harder than Rock Atrocity.
Congratulations Mina!
